Hononegah Football Crushes East

This past Friday, Hononegah varsity football took a 49-12 victory over Rockford East. This crushing defeat knocks the E-Rabs to a 1-4 overall conference record. The Indians are now 5-0.

Two impressive rushing TD’s were completed by senior Greyson Motter (#35) and senior Estin Fichter (#36). Fitcher currently has 240 rushing yards, which puts him in first place for the specific stat category in the NIC-10. He is followed by senior Luke Poppe (#5) with 195 yards and junior Brock Anderson (#31) with 148.

Varsity football faces their biggest competitor in the conference and the most highly anticipated game of the season, the Boylan Titans, on Friday, 9/29. Boylan also has a 5-0 record after their most recent game against Rockford Auburn. Hononegah is still maintaining our title as the leader of the Northern Illinois Conference, but Boylan is following dangerously close behind in second place. The student section theme is white-out, so make sure to show up in white outfits to support our Indians!
