Model UN kicks off the year with Chicago conference
Model UN is a global organization with a branch at Hononegah. Model UN has been described as a “collaborative atmosphere, which makes it fun to work with friends”, according to 3-year member Max Wang. Christopher McLellan Jr. says that his favorite part of the club is “how relaxed and fun the club is, especially when we do mock scenarios”. Students act as delegates for countries that are participants in the real United Nations organization and work together to find a solution to a mock scenario in a way that is advantageous for every country involved and protects world relations. If you have an interest in international relations, debate, and making new friends, then Model UN is the perfect club for you! Model UN will be attending their first conference on November 4 in Chicago. Meetings are usually held on weekends in room 1209; treats are always provided!
